NCT ID NCT05415124
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a swallowable capsule called HemoPill acute that uses a sensor to detect blood in the upper digestive tract. Researchers compared its readings to results from standard endoscopy in 15 adults suspected of having upper GI bleeding. The goal was to see if the pill could help doctors quickly and accurately identify bleeding without needing an invasive scope right away.
