Dialysis patients may live longer with monthly hemoperfusion

NCT ID NCT07348913

First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a monthly blood-cleaning treatment (hemoperfusion) to regular dialysis helps people on long-term dialysis live longer and have fewer heart or brain events. Researchers reviewed records of 879 adult dialysis patients over 10 years. They compared those who got the extra treatment once a month to those who did not, using statistical methods to make the groups similar.
