First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a device called HemoCept to see if it can accurately measure fluid levels in people with kidney failure during dialysis. Twelve adults on dialysis for over 90 days took part. The goal was to see if the device's readings matched changes in the patient's dry weight. This was a pilot study to gather information, not to treat or cure the disease.
