First seen Feb 09, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This early study tests if blocking a small artery in the foot can safely reduce long-term heel pain from plantar fasciitis. Ten adults aged 25 to 80 who have not found relief from other treatments will undergo a minimally invasive procedure. Researchers will track pain levels and side effects over one year to see if this approach is worth studying further.
