New study tracks hidden heart risks in breast cancer treatment

Summary

This study follows 100 women with early-stage breast cancer who are receiving standard chemotherapy or anti-HER2 therapy. Researchers want to see if special heart ultrasound scans or blood tests can detect early heart damage before standard tests show a problem. Participants will have heart scans and give blood samples at the start of treatment and again at 3, 6, and 12 months.
