NCT ID NCT05866731

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether genetics play a role in how often people have extra heartbeats, known as PACs and PVCs. Researchers used wearable heart monitors to track heart rhythms in 156 identical and fraternal twins. By comparing the two groups, they hope to understand if these common heart rhythm patterns are influenced by inherited DNA.
