Pacing the heart to peek at brain blood flow
NCT ID NCT04391465
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how changing heart rate affects blood flow in the brain. Researchers will temporarily pace the hearts of 20 adults already scheduled for a heart procedure, then measure brain blood flow using ultrasound. The goal is to better understand the link between heart rate and brain circulation, not to test a treatment.
