New finger clip monitors could replace risky heart surgery tubes
NCT ID NCT06828432
Summary
This study aims to find out which of three FDA-approved, non-invasive monitoring devices is most accurate for tracking heart function in patients recovering from open-heart surgery. Researchers will compare the devices against standard, more invasive monitoring methods in 50 patients in the intensive care unit. The goal is to see if these less risky devices can reliably guide doctors' treatment decisions after major surgery.
