Heart failure patients test nasal spray to ease fluid buildup
NCT ID NCT07375212
Summary
This pilot study aimed to test whether a single dose of a nasal spray medication (bumetanide) could quickly reduce fluid pressure and blood volume in people with heart failure. The trial planned to enroll patients who already had special heart monitors implanted to track their condition. Researchers wanted to measure changes in pressure and fluid levels over 24 hours after receiving the nasal spray. However, this study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
