Scientists probe hidden heart risks in rare copper disease

NCT ID NCT05493605

Summary

This study aims to understand how Wilson's disease, a condition where the body stores too much copper, affects the heart. Researchers will observe 150 adult patients with Wilson's disease over three years, using heart scans, blood tests, and other exams to see how common and severe heart problems are. The goal is to gather better information to guide future heart screening and care for people with this condition.
