Can a new calculator make blood thinner drugs safer for heart patients?

NCT ID NCT07295665

Summary

This study aims to test new prediction tools that help doctors balance two major risks for people with coronary heart disease: the risk of having another heart attack or stroke, and the risk of serious bleeding caused by the blood-thinning medications meant to prevent them. Researchers will follow 5,000 patients for one year to see how well these new risk models work in real-world clinics. The goal is to provide better evidence for creating personalized and safer treatment plans for each patient.
