Implanted device aims to warn patients of impending heart attacks
NCT ID NCT05412927
Summary
This study is testing how well an already FDA-approved implanted heart monitor works in real-world use. The device, called the Guardian System, is designed to detect early signs of a heart attack and alert the patient with vibrations. Researchers are enrolling 500 high-risk patients who have had a previous heart event to see how accurate the alerts are and how well patients and doctors follow the recommended actions.
