New test aims to Fine-Tune heart medication, reduce bleeding risk

NCT ID NCT06216821

Summary

This study is testing if a new risk score can help doctors decide the best time to reduce the intensity of blood-thinning therapy for patients who had a heart attack and received a stent. About 3,500 participants will be assigned to have their medication adjusted either after 1 month or 3 months based on their personal risk score. The goal is to find the safest balance between preventing future clots and avoiding serious bleeding complications.
