New scans probe why heart disease resists treatment

NCT ID NCT07112066

Summary

This study aims to learn more about cardiac amyloidosis, a condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart. Researchers will use new types of heart scans and blood tests on 50 participants already starting a standard medication. The goal is to see if these advanced scans can reveal why the disease continues to worsen in about one-third of patients despite treatment.
