Summary

This study tested a 12-week program for Hispanic mothers with overweight or obesity and their 3-5 year old children. The program included weekly classes on nutrition, exercise, and coping skills, plus exercise sessions. Researchers measured changes in weight, body fat, and health behaviors in 578 participants. The goal was to see if this family-based approach could improve health and prevent obesity.
