NCT ID NCT04725630
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving adults with type 2 diabetes and food insecurity a financial incentive to buy healthy foods could improve their blood sugar control. About 600 participants were split into two groups: one received a healthy food prescription alone, and the other received the prescription plus extra money for healthy groceries. The main goal was to see if the incentive group had lower blood sugar levels (measured by A1C) after the program.
