Summary
This study tested if giving a cancer drug called abemaciclib for 10-21 days before surgery could shrink tumors in patients with HPV-negative head and neck cancer. Researchers measured tumor size before and after the drug to see if it worked and studied how the drug affected the tumor and immune system. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 7 participants.
