Scientists test new drug duo to fight tough head and neck cancers

Summary
This study is testing if adding a new drug called ipatasertib to a standard immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) works better for controlling advanced head and neck cancer that has returned or spread. About 52 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the two-drug combination or the immunotherapy alone. The main goal is to see if the combination helps keep the cancer from growing for a longer period of time.
