Summary
This study follows 52 elite junior ice hockey players over one season to understand how head impacts—even without a concussion—may affect the brain and body. Using helmet sensors and video, researchers record every impact. Players take heart rate and attention tests before, during, and after the season, and after any diagnosed concussion or severe hit. The goal is to detect early changes and improve safety for young athletes.
