NCT ID NCT05520762

First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares two methods of helping patients breathe during a cardiac arrest in the hospital: a supraglottic airway (a tube placed in the throat) versus endotracheal intubation (a tube placed into the windpipe). The goal is to see which approach leads to more days alive and free from a breathing machine. About 1,060 adults who have a cardiac arrest while in the hospital will take part.
