Can a broken hand make your other hand better?
NCT ID NCT06783205
Summary
This study looked at whether people who injure their dominant hand and must wear a splint for 6 weeks see an improvement in the function of their other, non-dominant hand. Researchers enrolled 40 adults with recent hand injuries to measure their non-dominant hand's speed, strength, and ability to perform daily tasks. The goal was to understand if forced use of the non-dominant hand during recovery leads to better function.
