Simple soap and lessons slash school sick days
NCT ID NCT07467902
Summary
This study tested if teaching kids about handwashing and providing soap in schools could prevent common illnesses and reduce missed school days. Researchers worked with over 800 children, aged 9-13, in Erbil, Iraq. Some schools received monthly hygiene lessons and soap, while others did not, to see if the program led to fewer cases of colds, flu, and stomach bugs.
