Hidden muscle problems linger after hamstring injury, study finds

NCT ID NCT07171385

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looked at 42 male football players to see if a past hamstring strain affects how muscles work together. Researchers measured muscle activity during exercises and found that even after healing, certain back and hip muscles don't activate as well. This may explain why some athletes get hurt again.
