New crown method for Kids' cavities put to the test

NCT ID NCT07186673

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study compares the Hall Technique—a method of placing stainless steel crowns without removing tooth structure—to the traditional method for treating cavities in children's permanent first molars. Ten children will receive crowns using one of the two techniques, and researchers will check crown fit, bite changes, and patient satisfaction over six months. The goal is to see if the simpler Hall Technique works as well as the standard approach.
