First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding an antibiotic (rifampicin) to a standard antiseptic (povidone-iodine) could better prevent infections and speed up healing after hair transplant surgery. 65 adults were split into two groups: one got the combined solution, the other got the standard alone. Researchers checked wounds for infection and healing on days 3, 7, and 14 after surgery.
