New combo therapy aims to control advanced liver cancer with vessel invasion

NCT ID NCT07466225

First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a liver-directed chemotherapy infusion (HAIC) to a two-drug combination (lenvatinib and a PD-1 inhibitor) works better than the two drugs alone for people with advanced liver cancer that has invaded major blood vessels or bile ducts. About 150 adults will take part. The goal is to see if the triple therapy helps people live longer and keeps the cancer from growing, while checking for side effects.
