Scientists search for keys to stop Body's attack after transplant
NCT ID NCT07150468
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some patients' immune systems attack their bodies after a bone marrow transplant, a serious complication called graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). Researchers analyzed blood and tissue samples from 146 patients with blood cancers who received transplants from family donors. By studying specific immune cells, they hoped to build the foundation for new prevention strategies.
