Tiny tummies, big hope: probiotic tested for infant food allergy

NCT ID NCT05793112

Summary

This study tested whether a specific probiotic (called INF108F) could help control symptoms and improve gut health in breastfed infants with a food protein allergy that causes blood in their stool. Twenty infants participated, receiving either the probiotic or a placebo for four weeks. Researchers measured changes in the infants' gut bacteria, blood in stool, reflux symptoms, and sleep quality to see if the supplement helped.
