Poop transplant trial aims to fix stubborn constipation

NCT ID NCT07386795

Summary

This study is testing a treatment for chronic constipation that doesn't get better with usual medicines. Doctors will transplant healthy gut bacteria from a donor into patients, along with special fibers meant to help those good bacteria grow. The goal is to see if this combined approach can safely improve bowel movements and ease constipation symptoms for people who haven't found relief from other treatments.
