Could your gut hold the key to beating melanoma?
NCT ID NCT07428252
Summary
This study aims to find out if the specific mix of bacteria in a person's digestive system (the gut microbiome) can help predict how well they will respond to immunotherapy for advanced melanoma. Researchers enrolled 150 patients already receiving standard immunotherapy and analyzed their stool and blood samples over time. The goal is to see if certain gut bacteria patterns are linked to better treatment outcomes or fewer side effects.
