Summary
This study compared two minor surgical procedures for treating a 'gummy smile,' where too much gum shows when a person smiles. Researchers tested a newer muscle-focused technique against a standard lip repositioning surgery in 20 adults. They measured which method reduced the gum display more effectively, lasted longer over six months, and caused less pain and discomfort for patients.
