Summary

This study compared two surgical techniques for reducing excessive gum display during smiling, commonly called 'gummy smile.' Sixteen female patients aged 18-30 were randomly assigned to receive either a modified lip repositioning surgery or a different technique called Z-plasty frenectomy. Researchers followed patients for nine months to measure gum reduction, pain levels, patient satisfaction, and healing outcomes.
