Summary
This study looked at how comprehensive gum treatment affects chewing and quality of life in people with severe gum disease (stage III periodontitis). Twenty patients received deep cleaning and, if needed, surgery. After treatment, gum health, chewing ability, and quality of life all improved significantly. The findings show that treating gum disease not only helps gums heal but also makes eating easier and improves how patients feel about their oral health.
