New gum surgery aims to cover exposed roots on lower teeth

Summary

This study will test a gum surgery for adults with gum recession on the tongue side of their lower teeth. The surgery uses a tissue graft from the roof of the mouth to cover the exposed root. Twenty participants will be followed for up to two years to see how much root coverage is achieved and how the gums heal.
