Gum recession showdown: which treatment covers more exposed roots?
NCT ID NCT07345520
First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested three ways to treat multiple gum recessions (exposed tooth roots) in 60 healthy, non-smoking adults. The treatments were a collagen matrix, platelet-rich fibrin (a blood concentrate), and a connective tissue graft (a small piece of tissue from the roof of the mouth). The goal was to see which method best covered the exposed roots. Results help dentists choose the most effective option for patients with this common gum problem.
