New gum surgery trial aims to cover roots better with less cutting
NCT ID NCT07239180
Summary
This study compares two surgical techniques for treating single areas of receding gums. Researchers want to see which method—a tunneled flap or a modified tunnel with tissue graft—provides better coverage of exposed tooth roots while being less invasive. The trial will involve 24 adults with specific gum recession who will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two procedures.
