Gum injections fill black triangles: which works better?
NCT ID NCT06314256
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested two injections—hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich fibrin—to rebuild the small triangle of gum between teeth (called the interdental papilla) that is often lost, creating a dark gap. 13 healthy adults with multiple missing gum triangles received both treatments in different areas of their mouth. The goal was to see which injection better closed the black triangle and which patients preferred.
