Gum graft upgrade: platelet-rich fibrin may boost healing and looks
NCT ID NCT07346391
First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding platelet-rich fibrin (a natural healing concentrate from your blood) to a standard gum graft can improve the amount of firm gum tissue around dental implants. Twenty-two adults with thin gums (less than 2 mm) around their implants will be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if the combined method leads to more gum growth, less pain, and better appearance than the standard graft alone.
