New gum surgery gel aims to speed healing, ease pain
NCT ID NCT07409571
Summary
This study is testing if applying a topical steroid gel (triamcinolone acetonide) to the roof of the mouth can help it heal better and hurt less after gum graft surgery. The surgery takes a small piece of tissue from the roof of the mouth to repair receding gums. Researchers will compare the steroid gel to a standard collagen sponge to see which leads to faster healing, less pain, and better quality of life for patients.
