Scientists photograph gum grafts to see if color fades over time

NCT ID NCT07199686

Summary

This study aimed to measure the color of gum tissue after a common dental graft surgery. Researchers used special polarized digital photographs to get precise color measurements from 50 people who had the surgery at least six months earlier. The goal was to see if factors like age, time since surgery, or gum thickness affected how well the graft's color matched the surrounding gums.
