Summary

This study tested a specific gum surgery that combines a patient's own tissue graft with a protein gel to try to regrow bone and stabilize gum tissue lost to severe gum disease. Seventeen adults with advanced periodontitis received the surgery. Researchers measured changes in gum health, pocket depth, and bone regrowth over six months to see if the combined approach was effective.
