First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-surgical gum treatment with a hyaluronic acid gel can help regrow bone lost to severe gum disease. About 60 adults with deep gum pockets will receive one of three treatments: the hyaluronic acid gel, an enamel matrix protein gel, or standard cleaning alone. Researchers will measure bone regrowth and patient satisfaction over one year.
