First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether guided imagery exercises—a relaxation technique using mental visualization—can reduce surgical fear and improve comfort in men undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). About 70 adult patients will be randomly assigned to either receive guided imagery sessions or standard care. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free method can help patients feel calmer and recover more comfortably.
