NCT ID NCT07157826

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests whether listening to guided imagery—a relaxation technique where you imagine calming scenes—can help reduce pain, anxiety, and fear, and improve sleep quality in people recovering from weight-loss surgery. About 70 patients will be randomly assigned to either receive guided imagery or standard care. Researchers will measure vital signs, stress hormones, and self-reported feelings before and after surgery.
