First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a group reminiscence program—where people share and discuss past memories—is practical and helpful for adults hospitalized with schizophrenia. Thirty-eight participants took part in 8 weekly sessions. Researchers measured changes in thinking, communication, and social function, and also interviewed a smaller group about their experience. The goal was to see if this low-cost, non-drug approach could improve daily life skills.
