Talking it out: group therapy shows promise for eczema sufferers

NCT ID NCT07599878

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether adding group psychotherapy to standard eczema care can improve symptoms in adults with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). Thirty-two participants were split into three groups: standard care alone, standard care plus cognitive behavioral therapy, or standard care plus stress management. Researchers measured eczema severity at 14 weeks and again at 6 months to see if the therapy helped.
