New stent aims to restore blood flow in blocked abdominal veins

Summary
This study tests a special stent (a small mesh tube) to open up blocked or narrowed veins in the abdomen and legs. The goal is to improve blood flow and reduce symptoms like swelling, pain, and leg ulcers. About 136 adults with these vein problems will receive the stent and be followed for a year to see if it works safely.
