First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether a computer-guided approach (goal-directed therapy using the Hypotension Prediction Index) could improve care for 100 adults after heart surgery compared to usual care. The goal was to better manage fluids and medications to prevent dangerously low blood pressure in the intensive care unit. Results will help design larger studies to improve recovery after cardiac surgery.
