First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This early-phase study tested whether special PET scans using 11C-glutamine and 18F-FSPG can better detect tumors in people with advanced colorectal cancer that has spread. Six adults with a specific genetic type (RAS wild-type) were enrolled. The goal was to see if these new imaging methods work as well as or better than standard CT or MRI scans.
