Gut check: does a common fiber really boost your microbiome?
NCT ID NCT07231003
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether taking glucomannan powder, a type of fiber, can improve the balance of bacteria in the gut. Researchers will give the powder or a placebo to 30 healthy adults aged 20 to 65 for 6 weeks. They will measure changes in gut bacteria and blood markers like cholesterol and blood sugar to see if the fiber has any effect.
